Suzann Mathews has been in the Transportation Industry for 28 years with the same company, Panalpina, a global transportation, logistics and storage company headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. She began with the company in 1985 as a Chemical Department Manager in Houston TX where she managed staffing and oversaw new and current sales accounts. In 1990, she moved to Operations Manager at the Sterling, VA office, handling foreign military sales and the World Bank Account.

In 1992 Matthews returned to Houston to become the Account Manager one of Panalpina’s large oil and gas client, Texaco. After that, her roll expanded to other major Oil and Gas clients for Panalpina and also managing their large warehouse / packing operation. Seven years later she would become the Business Unit Manager, spending more than a decade handling all Business Unit Sales and Operations. Before leaving the company in 2012, she was promoted to Head of Chemical Vertical where she developed the US Chemical customer base for the company for several years. She then became a contractor for the company, as part of the GE implementation team.

Matthews is an expert in logistics for the energy and chemical space. She has worked tirelessly perfecting safe, efficient and economical ways to transport vital oil, gas and chemicals around the globe to keep economies humming. She has traveled around the world and has implemented many new procedures from her experience. Matthews has trained 100s of staff and freight forwarders in her protocols, including the warehouse / packing system used by Panalpina Houston for many years.

She now does consulting work and is a Recruiter for Mach 3 Connect Corporation. In her spare time she likes to travel, garden and spend time with her family. She is a movie buff and avid dog-lover with two rescue dogs at home.
