Jackie Russo

Jaqueline Russo brings extensive expertise to the International Forwarding Academy with more than 30 years in the Freight Forwarding Industry with subject matter expertise on a niche subset of the industry, Exhibition / Event Logistics.

Russo started her career as Vice President, North America of Panfairs USA, a division of Panalpina, Inc. dedicated to Exhibition / Event Freight Forwarding. There, she grew the division from $200,000 and a 2 person staff to a team of 15 with $5+ million in global revenue, positioning the company from an unknown player in the event cargo space to #2 in the US. She secured multiple national event organizers including Tag Heuer Events in New York City.

In 2003 Russo brought her expertise to KN Expo & Events, a division of Kuehne & Nagel, Inc. where she served as Vice President, North America for 16 years. There she created an operational structure in the event department that focused on developing markets, growing the department to $20 million in revenue annually. She also increased branding and marketing by championing development of their corporate identify as state-of-the-art within the industry, resulting in the brand of choice among clients. Russo personally obtained major clients including the National Restaurant Association and Dow Chemical for the Sochi 2014 Olympics.

Currently, she manages her own exhibition-based organization, Global Expositions, Inc., as well as consults with Baker Logistics Consulting, both in Chicago. Russo is a licensed U.S. Customs Broker and former Chairman of the Board of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events. She was the 2010 recipient of that association’s “Legend of the Industry” award and 2016’s “Woman of Distinction”.

Russo is also a Board of Director member for the Center for Exhibition Industry Research and a member of the International Foreign Trade Association.
